Benita is the 5:00 & 6:00 News Anchor and Health Reporter on NewsChannel 13. She also Co-produces and hosts "HEALTH LINK" Thursday nights on WYNT, where she covers issues on wellness, treatment breakthroughs, aging, nutrition and the latest health care trends.

Benita is the community liaison to the St. Peter's Hospital Ethics Board and the board of “BUILDING ON LOVE” which supports The Ronald McDonald House. She is also an honorary chair of MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER for more than 5 years... Her theater credits are numerous, including performances at the Albany Civic Theater, Schenectady Civic Theater, Schenectady Light Opera and Park Playhouse.

Her work has garnered her numerous awards, including being named one of the 100 Women of the Century by the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce, a three-time Emmy nominee, a Gold Medal in the 1995 New York Festival's International Television competition for "Baby Your Baby," the Distinguished Communicator Award from American Women in Radio and Television, 1997 YMCA Citizen of the Year, the NYS Health Education Week Award, media awards from the American Cancer Society, the American Lung Association and the American Heart Association.

Benita has also covered numerous national political conventions, the inauguration of President Barack Obama, the aftermath of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina and the Unabomber trial.

In 2009 Benita was awarded a Masters of Science degree in bioethics at Albany Medical College.

kissinger   Mark L. Kissinger

Mark Kissinger is the Director for the Division of Long Term Care for the New York State Department of Health's Office of Health Insurance Programs.

Prior to his appointment, he served as the President of the Home Care Association of New York State and as Deputy Secretary for Health and Human Services where he was the lead policy advisor on health and human service issues, including Medicaid, mental health services, long term care, welfare and children’s services.

During his career, Mr. Kissinger’s assignments have included Senior Program Associate for the New York State Governor’s office, the New York State Senate Majority Leader’s office, and the Deputy Commissioner for the Office of Long Term Care.

Mr. Kissinger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Political Science and has won many awards for his leadership and commitment within the human services field. Mr. Kissinger lives in Delmar, New York with his wife and two children.

Dr. Benton is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is a Member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

He is on staff at St. Mary's Hospital and Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY as well as St. Peter's Hospital, the Albany Medical Center, and Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany, NY. Dr. Benton currently is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Albany Medical Center and is very active in teaching medical residents and medical students.

Dr. Benton attended John Hopkins University where he graduated in 1982. He received his medical degree at the University of Vermont in 1987. He completed his Medical Residency and Fellowship in Cardiology at Georgetown in Washington, DC in 1997.

Dr. Benton's cardiology specialties include general cardiovascular disease, hypertension, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography.

Ron’s titles and accolades consist in holding the 2006 PGA Professional National Champion, 8 Appearances in Major Championships, 5 Time PGA Section Champion, and 5 Time PGA Section Player of the Year. He is also recognized as the ‘Best Teacher in State’ by Golf Digest and New England Golf Journal.

Gretchen Moore Simmons is the Professional Development Specialist at the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York. She is responsible for developing, marketing, and delivering training programs on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias to healthcare professionals, caregivers, corporations and the general population throughout the 17 counties of Northeastern New York.

Gretchen is a Master Trainer of Foundations of Dementia Care and Alzheimer’s Based Activities Care (ABAC), evidence-based dementia care programs created by the Alzheimer’s Association national organization.

Gretchen has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the State University of New York, Oswego and a Master of Arts degree in Public Communications from American University, Washington DC. She is an experienced educator, with over 20 years experience providing training to professionals and non-professionals in both the profit and non-profit field.

Dr. Aixa Toledo practice is at the Center for Rheumatology, a regional referral center for the diagnosis and care of individuals with arthritis, osteoporosis, autoimmune and musculoskeletal disease and investigation of new treatments of disorders.

She graduated from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico where she obtained a B.S. in Biology. She became Board Certified in Medical Technology and worked in one of Puerto Rico’s main hospitals where she obtained her medical degree at the University Autonoma de Guadalajara. She completed her Fifth Pathway training at New York Medical College.

Dr. Aixa Toledo-Garcia came to the Albany area to be closer to family members, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center, where she also completed her fellowship training in Rheumatology. She is Board Certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and The American College of Rheumatology. She has participated in clinical research in Rheumatology and has contributed in the writing of medical publications.

She has volunteered in the provision of health education to the Capital District Latino community and has also provided medical care to the Albany area underserved population at a charity clinic. She enjoys cycling, running and hiking.

Debra A. Verni is a Principal with the Herzog Law Firm P.C. She focuses her practice in the areas of elder law, trusts and estates, Medicaid planning, estate and tax planning, estate administration, and real estate.

Debbie is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York, the Saratoga County Bar Association, the Saratoga Legacy Foundation, and is a member and the current Treasurer for Soroptimist of Saratoga County where she has also had the pleasure of serving as the co-chair of Project Hope and Power.

In addition to the numerous member-based organizations to which Debbie belongs, she has also served as an Adjunct Professor for SUNY Albany and Cazenovia College where she taught classes about taxation of corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts. Debbie is a frequent presenter on Estate and Medicaid planning matters throughout the Capital District.

Debbie received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law where she completed a concentration in Tax and Estate Law. Debbie is also a graduate of Cazenovia College where she earned her B.P.S. in Business Management.

He is a member of the CBS Answers Team (ww.wrgb.com) on employment issues, and a frequent contributor to regional and national media and speaker groups. Moran provides individuals and companies with the tools and strategies required to retain and hire the best-of-the-best, and find passion in career through active management, planning and accountability.

Moran has authored The New Art of Hiring Smart, now licensed internationally as a training tool, and is currently working on his next writing Your Next Act: !5 Day Commitment to Discovering (or Rediscovering) Your Career & Life Passion for publication this year.

Dan believes in giving back to the community. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association and Past Chairman. He is also a member of the Advisory Board for TechValley Connects and a member of the Board of Directors for the Ellen Sinopli Dance Troupe. Dan was appointed Chairperson of the Rensselaer County Civil Service Commission, which has provided an insight into careers and work in the public sector.

Dr. Anna Allen is a comprehensive Ophthalmologist, and manages a variety of eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, pediatric eye conditions and eyelid problems.

She is an attending ophthalmologist at Albany Memorial Hospital, St. Peter's Hospital and Stratton VA Medical Center. She performs surgeries at Albany Memorial Hospital and Albany Regional Eye Surgery Center in Latham, New York.

Dr. Allen graduated with honors from Kharkov State University in Ukraine then completed her PhD program in Neurobiology and Anatomy at the University of Rochester. She graduated Cum Laude from medical school at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and completed post-graduate training in Ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center.

She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the New York State Ophthalmological Society.
